HONG KONG, China - (Spoof News) - The Republic of China has just informed her people that there is a tremendous shortage of chopsticks.
President Xi Jinping has advised the citizens to please not throw away the chopsticks when you use them and instead simply wash them and use them again.
He made it known that chopstick experts say that a standard pair of wooden chopsticks can be reused for up to 14 times, before they should be tossed in the trash can.
The chopstick shortage is due to the fact that lots of Chinese food restaurants began hoarding them in order to make sure that they always had an ample supply on hand.
SIDENOTE: China reports that the fortune cookie industry has no shortage and people can buy as many fortune cookies as they wish.
