Donald Trump today held a special Rose Garden briefing to discuss Theresa May's recent resignation from the Prime Ministership at #10 Downing Street. Mr Trump showed up at the podium and displayed his general ignorance of British politics and, indeed, the relationship between the two countries.
"It's NOT FAIR! " ranted Trump, "Theresa May is a red-blooded American, and deserves to be respected! Therefore, I will not stand for her demotion. With the power vested in me, I now pronounce Theresa May pardoned!" With a flourish of a pen, he signed a pardon document to applause from some 20-plus paid witnesses.
"Thank you, Thank you, as you know, I am probably the first President ever to pardon the British Prime Minister, I'm sure you will all agree. I am also the first President to offer a British Prime Minister asylum in my personal country of Mara Largo."
Theresa May could not be reached for comment, but it is said after her initial upset near her announcement, she was seen packing several bags in preparation for a trip....
