Beer bikes, a common sight on Amsterdam's cobble-stoned streets, and seen riding alongside canals, are causing so much noise the coucil has banned them!
The bikes are rented by groups of boozed up tourists celebrating anything. However, they are causing so much noise that certain members of the Amsterdam public, stoned pot smokers, feel as if they just cannot relax when these noisy piss-artists ride by! So, they formed a lobby and put in an official protest to the council.
The disturbed lobby is called "Peaceful pot smoking pipers, chilling, man!" They run one of Amsterdam's most important tourist attractions after naughty naked ladies in windows; smoking pot till you drop in a Koffee Shop!
Councellors and police got their heads together and decided to agree to the protest and have now banned beer-boozing-bikes from the streets of this "sin city"! Red light areas, coffee shops flogging weed, pot, and anybody dealing in drugs, no problem! But noisy, beer guzzling males, banned!
Pot smoking tourists can now enjoy their peace and quiet in Amsterdam Koffee shops while beer boozing bikers have been forced to choose a different means of getting pissed on the streets of sin city. A clever, ex-tram driver, started up a business offering ex-beer bikers a warm, cosy alternative; Booze Trams! Stoned pot smokers are banned because mega-boozing and smoking joints could
force the trams to go off the rails, which is a pretty normal condition in Amsterdam!
