It would be embarrassing for anyone, but for a "Bruce Lee" fan who claimed to be a ninja, it was hard to call for police help but he had little choice. He was stuck on a fence with a metal fence post up his ass!
Police in Seattle, Washington say they got a strange call last night and responded to an area behind a bar where they discovered one Harold Bentley impaled on a fence post.
"We were afraid to move him so Joe called an ambulance", stated officer Reggie Cromwell. "He gave us another name at first but later told us that he was embarrassed because he was a student of martial arts."
Bentley had apparently had a run-in with a drunk outside the bar and took it upon himself to keep the guy from getting any drunker by barring the door with his body.
An argument ensued in which the drunk kneed Bentley and ran for it.
Bentley, according to a witness whom the police agreed not to press charges for public drunkeness, began a belated chase. Then he tried to do a Bruce Lee jump over a metal fence!
"He landed halfway across. I didn't know the pole was up his ass until I came over. He sent me to have the bartender call you guys."
Bentley was taken to the Harbor View Medical Center, Cromwell said. Questioned at the hospital, he told police he believed he was a ninja.
But he may have to work on that a bit.
