BILLINGSGATE POST: When President Obama said, "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon Martin," he obviously identified with Trayvon because they were both African American.
On the other hand, when the pictures of the six Baltimore police officers who were charged by Baltimore States's Attorney Marilyn Mosby in the death of Freddie Gray, three of the officers were African American and three were white.
Since one of the African Americans was a woman, Sgt. Alicia White, it might follow that President Obama would say, "If I ever did a Bruce Jenner, she might be me.".......Right!
Words do matter. And when you get into identity politics you should be very careful. In other words, "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cops."
