Look out Israel, Here I come.

Wayne Rooney has broken a leg while training for England's Euro 2008 qualifier with Israel.

England boss, Steve McClaren said he heard a loud crack and raced over to Rooney, fearing the worst.

"I was terrified, I'm a terrible manager so I have to rely on quality players like Wayne to keep my job. Luckily, when I got over there, it turned out that Wayne had just broken the leg of one of our under 21 squad, a kid who's nowhere near as talented as Rooney and won't be missed."

England captain, John Terry, said it was a positive thing for the English side.

"I think this sends a very strong message to the Israeli's not to get in his way."

"We won't roll over for Israel..." said Steven Gerrard, angering a number of people "... England isn't Palestine."
