Centennial, CO – The Denver Broncos this off-season are making moves to provide more support for its struggling signal caller.
General manager George Paton was quoted as saying, “Listen fellas. When your team is in a great city like ours, the expectations are always going to be a mile high. In my position here, as GM, I’m doing what our very own quarterback legend John Elway was doing a couple of years ago… This is Quarterback Town. I get it. We all get it. And next season, we are by golly gonna prove it. Russell Wilson, a winner and a Super Bowl champion (not here yet obviously but soon), had a very very very tough year this past year. But he’ll soon be surrounded by players that get his struggles and understands his cause. And of course our cause is winning.”
So every position on Denver’s offensive side of the ball will be filled by a quarterback. When questioned about this, George Paton continued. “Who understands how to run the ball for a quarterback better than a quarterback…? Who understands how to catch the ball for a quarterback better than a quarterback…? Who understands how to block for a quarterback better than a quarterback…? I can’t be the only one who gets this. I’m just afraid that the league might not have enough quarterbacks.”
And every defensive position will also be filled by a quarterback. “Hey. I shouldn’t have to explain this but the defense’s job is to get the football back for the offense and back into the quarterback’s hands. And who understands how to get the ball back to the quarterback better than a quarterback?”
Super Bowl champions again, not yet obviously but soon. Good luck Broncos.
