Vermont is beautiful in the fall and in the spring - in the summer...not so much.

SOUTH VAGINA, Vermont - (Satire News) - Seismologists have just discovered an earthquake fault in upper Vermont that is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

The fault is believed to be the only one in the New England area, and long time Vermonters say that the fault looks kinda weird.

One long time resident, identified as Ludlow G. Ludwinkle, 74, said that the fault known as the San Molasses Fault is not straight like all the fault lines in California, but is actually zig-zaggy.

Ludwinkle said that he has heard of several individuals who fell in the San Molasses and it was days before they were rescued.

An expert earthquake advisor from El Segundo, California, said that he really believes that when winter gets here, the freezing cold Vermont weather will make the Grand Canyon-like fault shrink down to the size of a small forest stream.

SIDENOTE: The Vermont State Dept. of Weather has printed up T-shirts that read "Come To Vermont - But Just Watch Out For The Damn San Molasses Fault."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
