Director and overactor Mel "Mad" Gibson is set to produce another blockbuster biblical drama about Jewish hero and famous witticist, Jesus.
The 65-year-old is collaborating with screenwriter Joe Eszterhazy to tell the story of the famously buff Jewish warrior, who rose from the dead, defeated the short-skirted Roman legions at Medina and inspired the Judaic spin-off sect 'Christianity's Easter celebration, especially the tradition of painting wee bunnies on boiled eggs, reports youbetcha.co.uk. The script ends with 'Jesus the Joking Jew'- peace be upon him - rising in death to heaven on a cloud and inspiring another spin-off sect, Islam.
Cast and setting will be as authentic as possible and only Australians with heavy accents, big chests and small vocabularies will be cast and the film will be shot on location in Beverly Hills.
According to reports, the "Braveheart" star has the option to direct, star in, write, light and design the project's sets as well as do the makeup.
