Critics have slammed Downtown Abbey as being a soap in which the characters wear bodices. They say the so called serious drama has been poshed up so that Middle Class viewing figures will increase. "You've got it all wrong", said Julie Anne Fellows, the Angler's Weekly Drama Critic. It is made by ITV and they make all the good stuff now.
Its just a shame that there are adverts on almost all the way through. ITV are dumbing up, Its the BBC who are busy dumbing down. Its only the fact that their adverts are targetted at morons that makes it appear that their programmes are for Morons. Actually there are some posh sofa ads but we save most of those for after Christmas when everyone seems to buy sofas for unfathomable reasons.
Only Shitheads leave the advertisements on without muting the T.V. so we target the ads at them and talk down to them. Intelligent people mute the T.V. or record the programme and skip through the ads. If you watch Downtown and stick with it its quite entertaining, but its not really a blokey programme".
