The troubled soap Emmerdale is to be given a huge revamp due to falling ratings, my sources can reveal.
Chastity Dingle, the character that is currently taking centre stage in the show, isn't popular, so in a change to try and make people like her, Chas will appear in every scene, and every storyline, while the show will now just be one-hour shows on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and renamed Chastity-Dale.
It will have three main characters, all woman: Chastity Dingle, Debbie Dingle, and Cameron Murray, who, coincidentally, are all in an affair storyline, while the rest of the cast are now all part-time.
The actress who plays the similarly over-used character, Laurel Thomas, Charlotte Bellamy, has spoken out against the revamp. "Chas is already overused enough. Everyone loves Laurel and her many problems.''
Viewer, Andrew Davidson, commented on the plot: "Emmerdale is bad enough. Don't do this, Emmerdale!''
It is thought the the village itself will be renamed in the show, when Chas wins the competition 'Miss Emmerdale 2012'.
It is thought that the revamp will start airing on halloween.
Update: Chas-Dale started at 19.00 tonight.
