A new health food store has opened in Oklahoma, and many of the locals don’t like it … but not for the reason you think.
It’s called “Trans Fat”, which is an odd name for a health food store. The Americans are okay with the word “fat” since, to them, that means goooood eatin’! Big old juicy steaks and pig ears and fat kabobs and deep friend corn-bacon-grease patties, and heart attack gelatin shakes, and so much more food that cries out, “Killing Me Softly” until the Big One comes!
No, the locals don’t like the word “trans”. Protests have already begun, even though there’s only one store and the manager, Ely Krug, has told everyone they just sell food – not trans food, he don’t even know what trans food is – and by saying that, he received the wrath of other types of protesters.
Of course, when trans people heard about the anti-trans protest, they showed up and had their own protest. There was a wonderful megaphone fight and much name calling and the middle finger was seen frequently … until a Fat Burger opened across the road and stole all business from “Trans Fat”.
So the lesson is: be careful what you name your store or company, there may be two or more types of protesters waiting around the corner with placards and middle fingers cocked and ready to fire.
